Incredibly helpful, full of nuts and bolts productivity tips, goes way beyond commonsense and is helpful to the longtime, money making freelancing who may be scaling down from full time after, say, having a child. SO it's not just for newbies, though they'll find plenty of good advice. Author is an actual well-paid freelance writer going this in part-time hours and spoke about this topic at a conference for professional freelance writers. This is the real deal.
Even if you've been writing part-time for years, you'll find valuable advice here, on everything from organizing your work hours (don't check email till later!) to being self-disciplined to finding great clients to managing your workload. If you're thinking of starting a writing business, or shifting from full-time to part-time, Gretchen gives you permission -- and the help you need to form a viable plan. I especially loved reading about writers' real experiences (some of them hilarious) and seeing actual dollar figures that help you know how much you can make.
